LA COPA DAVIS SE JUGÓ EN SUANCES- DAVIS´CUP TOOK PLACE IN SUANCES

 

     Sí sí no es broma. 

    La quinta Copa Davis conseguida por España en Sevilla, frente al equipo Argentino; ahora hemos vuelto a jugarla en Suances.... 

 Hace una semana, nos juntamos en el Mirador de Suso, los compañeros del equipo de Tenis SAT Torrelavega y algunos alumnos.

Montamos una pista de tierra batida y un poco de césped natural. Nacho (emulando a Del Potro) se puso la equipación albiceleste y nosotros (cubriendo el puesto de Rafa Nadal en la final que nos dio la victoria) hicimos lo mismo.

Yes yes, I am not kidding.

The fifth Davis Cup won by Spain in Seville, opposite the Argentinian team; now we have played it again, in Suances...

One week ago, we met in "Mirador de Suso", many friends: the tennis SAT Torrelavega team colleagues and some pupils.

We assembled a tennis clay court, and a bit of natural grass. Nacho (emulating Del Potro) put the albiceleste clothes on, and we did the same (copying to Rafa Nadal, in the final match, five years ago).

  Aparte de todo el modelaje, el resto de ingredientes que formaban la decoración eran muy caseros. La tierra batida se componía de avellanas y almendras picadas, y mezcladas con un poco de polenta. Las rayas blancas, están delineadas con nata y la hierba con la misma nata teñida con té, para conseguir el color verde.

Apart from the gum paste decorations, the rest of the ornaments´ ingredients were homemade. The clay court was composed of  chopping hazelnuts and almonds and were mixed with a bit of Polenta. White strippes are outlined with whipped cream and the grass with the same cream stained with tea to get green colour.

   

De la euforia inicial al ver la tarta, se pasó al escepticismo. Las reacciones fueron muy variadas. 

      Initial euphoria when the cake was seen,  let scepticism happens. We can not overlook the differents reactions.

 

Ya con la tarta emplatada las caras de tranquilidad eran otras. A pesar de todo lo que comimos aún quedaba un hueco.  

Once with the cake in the dishes, faces of tranquility became. Despite all we ate, still remained a hollow.

          Y la foto final con los trofeos que realmente se han ganado esta temporada: La Copa Presidente y El Campeonato regional de Clubs.

Buen rato pasamos, y que se repita. La próxima vez, en la foto esperemos haya algún logro del equipo femenino.

We spent a good time, and we anxiously awake an other meeting. But next time, we hope the photo with some women´s team achievement.
